MARIA DUSZKA <\/strong>was born on April 28th. She lives in Sieradz (Poland). She is a poet,  journalist and librarian. Her poems were translated into: English, German, Russian, Serbian, Swedish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Greek and the Esperanto. They have been published in \u201cTygiel Kultury\u201d, \u201cWyspa\u201d, \u201cPrzekr\u00f3j\u201d, \u201cTopos\u201d, \u201cOdra\u201d, \u201cModern Haiku\u201d (USA), \u201cReibeisen\u201d (Austria), \u201cBdenje” (Serbia) and in the following antologies:<\/p>\n

– \u201cContemporary Writers of Poland\u201d  (USA 2005 and 2014),<\/p>\n

– \u201cEnough Questions, Enough Answers : Modern Polish Poetry in Translation\u201d (Rice University in Houston, 2008),<\/p>\n

– \u201cUwalniam ptaki sny : Ich befreie Vogel \u2013 Traume \u2013 Polish and German Poems: Deutsche und polnische Gedichte\u201d (2009),<\/p>\n

She is  a laureate of many literature competitions. From 2002 she has been leading Literary Circle \u201cAnima\u201d. She published eight books of poetry: \u201ePoezja przypadk\u00f3w\u201d (\u201ePoetry of Accidents\u201d), \u201eZupe\u0142nie szcz\u0119\u015bliwa marionetka\u201d (\u201eA Quite Happy Puppet\u201d), \u201eMo\u017ce si\u0119przy\u015bnisz\u201d (\u201eMaybe You\u2019ll be Dreamed About\u201d), \u201eNieopisanie\u201d (\u201eUndescription\u201d), \u201eI pomy\u015ble\u0107,  \u017ce jeste\u015b\u201d (\u201eAnd Thinking, You Do Exist\u201d,  \u201eKora\u201d (\u201eBark\u201d),  \u201eGaleria \u015bwiat\u201d (\u201eGallery World\u201d) and „Freienwill”. A four times she was guest of International Festiwal of Poetry on Lithuania  \u201cMaj nad Wili\u0105\u201d (\u201cMay on the Neris\u201d). She presented her poetry at the festival organised in Germany „Polnischersommer 2010 „.
